Individual students may not use sidewalk chalk on University property. Recognized student groups may request through the Student Activities Office to advertise events using sidewalk chalk only on outdoor surfaces. Once approved, recognized student groups may use sidewalk chalk in the vicinity of North and South dining halls, Duncan Student Center and LaFortune Student Center. Chalk is not approved on Main Quad, in the vicinity of academic buildings, or on walls, stairs, ramps, or building entryways. All messages must be appropriate and include the name of the sponsoring group.
