Fox News Covers Censorship Case at Tufts
Fox News ݮƵAPP’s case at Tufts University, where The Primary Source (TPS), the independent campus paper, faced a hearing last Monday on charges of harassment, creating a hostile environment, and breach of community standards. TPS had printed a satirical Christmas carol, “O Come All Ye Black Folk,” and “Islam—Arabic Translation: Submission,” a satirical advertisement for Tufts’ “Islamic Awareness Week.” TPS faces a number of possible repercussions including a campus-wide ban on the paper. The hearing panel is expected to hand down their decision today.
