Re: April 2, 2002 Letter to President Lattie Coor, Arizona State University

Dear Gentlemen:

I am responding on behalf of President Coor. This letter will confirm a conversation I had with Mr. Lukianoff by telephone previously.

We were unaware of the limitation on enrollment in Navajo History 191. On receipt of your letter, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences reviewed the matter and determined that the class was not limited in the fall semester and enrolled a non-Native American student.

We are removing the enrollment limitation for the fall 2002 course listings.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.

Very truly yours,

Mary C. Stevens

Deputy General Counsel
