After Penn Professor Julia Alekseyeva took to social media on December 9 in support of Luigi Mangione, the alleged assassin of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, the X account LibsOfTikTok, members of the public, and congressmen called on Penn to terminate her employment. On December 16, Rep. Dan Meuser told a Harrisburg radio station that Penn had opened an investigation into Alekseyeva. ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵAPP¹ÙÍø wrote Penn on December 17, explaining that Alekseyeva’s posts are protected by Penn’s commitments to free speech and urging it to end the investigation into Alekseyeva.
