Case Overview
On January 21, 2025, the University of Washington’s Turning Point USA chapter invited Olivia Krolczyk of the Riley Gaines Institute to give a speech titled “Protecting Women from Men: The Threat of the Trans Agenda.” Disruptors pulled a fire alarm, forcing attendees to evacuate the building before the event could begin. When authorities allowed attendees back into the building, disruptors broke windows, threw stink bombs, and interrupted Krolczyk’s speech to the point she had to be evacuated by police into a separate classroom. ݮƵAPP wrote UW explaining the institution’s obligation as a public university to prevent disruptors from successfully executing a heckler’s veto.
